New Patients
Welcome to Peregian Foot Clinic. Here's everything you need to know before your first visit.
Your First Visit
Welcome to our clinic
Your first appointment usually runs for 40-45 minutes. We take our time to get this right — there's no rushing you through the door.
We'll talk through your concerns, your history, and what you'd like to get out of treatment. Then we'll do a thorough assessment, explain what we're seeing, and walk you through a clear plan for what comes next. You'll leave understanding what's going on and exactly how we'll address it.
We are located within Gather Health Suites.
What To Bring
To make the most of your first appointment, please bring:
Shorts, tights or loose pants you can roll up above the knee
The shoes you wear most often
Your sports or training shoes, eg soccer/footy boots, netball, tennis runners etc
Any recent scans, X-rays or reports relating to your foot or lower limb
Your private health card, if you'd like to claim on the day via HICAPS
Your referral (Medicare, DVA or private letter) if applicable. Please bring your Medicare details if you are attending on a Medicare referral.
Completing your New Patient Form
We kindly ask that you complete your New Patient Form before your appointment. You’ll find it in the confirmation email sent to you once you book. Filling it out beforehand means we can make the most of your appointment time for assessment and discussing your history — rather than paperwork. This form does not need to be printed and can be completed on a phone, iPad or computer.
Finding Us
You'll find Peregian Foot Clinic inside Gather Health, at Suites 4–5, 247 David Low Way, Peregian Beach. We are on the Ground Floor, and our entrance faces David Low Way. Please look for the Gather Health signage, and take a seat in our reception area.
Parking
Parking is available behind the premises at 247 David Low Way. You'll also find parking between the Peregian Beach Medical Centre and the Peregian Digital Hub, and close by at the Peregian Beach Community Centre.
Cancelation & Rescheduling
We get it — life happens, and sometimes you need to change your plans. If you can't make your appointment, we just ask for at least 24 hours' notice. This gives us time to offer your spot to someone on our waitlist or a patient who needs urgent care.
To avoid a cancellation fee, please let us know at least 24 hours before your appointment by email. Cancellations with less than 24 hours' notice, or missed appointments, will incur the full consultation fee.
Please note that cancellation fees can't be claimed through Medicare or private health insurance. By booking with us, you're agreeing to this policy and we thank you for understanding.
Referrals, Medicare, DVA & Private Health
You do not need a referral to see our podiatrists at Peregian Foot Clinic — you can book online any time.
For eligible patients, we're also happy to accept a range of referrals and funding options outlined bellow.
Do I need a Referral?
-
For eligible patients, we accept Medicare referrals — also known as EPC plans or Chronic Disease Management (CDM) plans. Full payment is required at the time of your appointment, and we're happy to submit your claim directly to Medicare on your behalf. Rebates are typically processed within 1 business day. We are a private billing clinic and do not bulk bill. Please see our fee page for more information about our consultation fees.
-
We have HICAPS private health claiming facilities on site. If you have extras cover that includes podiatry, claims can be processed straight after your consultation. Please check your level of cover with your private health provider.
-
We happily accept DVA patients with a valid GP referral. Please ensure your referral has been sent to our clinic before your appointment. We accept both White Card and Gold Card holders.
-
Currently, we accept Self-Managed NDIS participants. We are unable to accept other participants at this time but are working towards this in the future.
